The Rage within by Chandrayan Gupta

  At this quarantine time while relaxing in my home I was serching for some thriller as I am a  die heart fan of thriller novel and I saw this book. When I saw this Detective Story novel I was sceptical reading this book while it was getting a lot of recommendation and star marks. The first thing about the novel which I thought is very captivating is the plot. For me it is a very unique and interesting one, it's about re-openning a 17 years old kidnapping and murder case. What would be left after so long period of time ? How could somebody decode a case when every evidence of the case was burried by passing time ? That struck me at first.

Besides being a thriller, it is immaculately described human feelings through exclusively chosen words,  perfectly curated every character and their inside. You could feel every dwelling moment, every breath of the character, the writer did the job very efficiently. The paceful story and the characters are very much alive and enchanting city description, that would never fail to keep you hooked. Its a very neet and well written book. The perfectly detailed description of the city, Kolkata; it's atmosphere, every nook and corner is perfectly placed in this story that one would feel as living in the city and feel the thrill of every incidents happened in the story. This feeling of involvment with the book and it's characters, is very important for any reader. Chandrayan gupta makes you feel like being there every moment. I was feeling like being in the story and could see what is happening and the feeling
 gave me goosbump. This style reminds me one of my favorite writer Ruskin Bond. Writer Chandrayan Gupta portrayed the story in a vast city canvas perfectly. You could see the city through writer's pen.

The story was very emotional as the reader gets to see every ups and down of the charaters life.
It's a page turner and very intriguing. Writer didn't failed to surprise reader, every chaper ends with new thrill and puts you into a new whirllwind that you never imagined.

To me its a vigorous stroy as the story going up reader grow with every development of the story and as I gets to know characters life experience, pain, abuse, depression, fear; strong and enigmatic writing can't let you get out of the book untill you finish it. Its written from the perspective of two main characters. The characters point of view which is really an exeption and exiting style that let you feel exactly what is going on and this is the plus point of any thriller novel. Character's inner sight gives the reader a new dimention of reading the book and it gives an involvement feeling with the story. This involvement is a must needed requirement of every thriller lover.

 Though the story is also dealing with some other issues also, this is not just a murder mystery book. Not everything and everbody going arround to solving just a murder case. This is the thing I like about the book. The book discussed on some major issues, domestic violence, bad parenting, work field abusing, ignorance, depression, which is really appriciatable.

Its a perfectly executed murder mystery in a moderated size book.
I would like to recommended this book, who are seeking some thrillers go with it and you won't regret. I give this book 5 stars.
